Let's start with the background...
Terraria was created by a guy that players of the game know as Redigit, or Red.
He has done a fantastic job with this game and continues to make it even better. Recently he has been working very hard to finish the game so he can start on his sequel to Terraria. Terraria 2 has been recently announced, but I'll talk about that more some other time.
Redigit took a break for a while coming back with update 1.2 which was huge, but before then he was working on the console and mobile versions of the game. Personally I didn't like the console and mobile versions near as much as the PC version but it still was an amazing idea.
If any of you have a chance to get this game i strongly recremend it, you will be addicted for months once you get started. And the best thing is that there is no beating it, it just keeps going and going. If you truly get bored cause it gets too easy, just start another character and the the quest begins again. Here is a like to the Terraria Wiki page in case you need to look up how to craft something or just want to read up on all the different enemies and weapons.
