Need For Speed Rivals

Need for Speed Rivals is a new game i have recently bought for PS3. Yeah I know PS4 is better in all ways, well duhh, but I have more important things to buy and save up for than a PS4. I do agree both Ghost Games and Criterion Games have redeemed themselves and given us a much better story line then Most Wanted 2012 and an even better way to connect and play with friends, but the story line still does not compare to earlier games before the shift series. Even Pro Street had a better story line then this. Anyway, it still have upgraded graphics, thanks to Frostbite 3, that I am sure are even more amazing on the PS4.

The frostbite 3 graphics are a huge addition to this game, it is probably the main reason it is rated so high. On a web page from Techsmart comparing some of the rain and other storm graphics to Battlefield 4's Paracel storm map.

I still recommend this game because of the multiplier capabilities so if you like racing games go ahead and get this game cause its not that bad, thanks to frostbite 3.

Need For Speed Most Wanted (2005)

Need For Speed Most Wanted is my personal favorite racing game because it brought a lot of new features like cop chases. The cop chases was reinvented in this game from Hot Pursuit II, now when you finish a race and the cops were still following, you would have to race around the city trying to lose them. As long as you stayed moving the cops couldn't catch you but if you get cornered and stop, you get arrested. if you get arrested in the same car 3 times your car would be impounded. Then you'll have to wait till they let it out of impound.

Huge map:

It had all the newest and greatest cars and thousands of different customization that could be added to the cars. It also brought in the concept of the blacklist. The blacklist was an list of 15 of the most wanted racers in Rockport City. You main objective is to race every racer, beat them all and become the most wanted.

The blacklist:

 The only game that came close would be Underground 2 because you could customize the vehicles even more then. the customizing abilities seemed to be endless, I loved decking my SUV with huge rims, spinners, a huge stereo system in my trunk and underglow. That was the most fun I had while playing that game.

I think the 2005 version of Most Wanted is much better than the 2012. Sure the 2012 has better graphics and faster cars but you can't beat the customizations and the amazing story line. Plus the 2005 had a huge map filled with hundreds of streets to race on. Here is a link to a page that shows a pretty good discussion on this topic
